Dear friends,
It is with great pleasure we announce the addition of an Astro-Imaging conference to ASAE ! Alan Traino has asked me to co-coordinate and host the event to be held November 14th Thursday and Friday the 15th before ASAE at the Tucson City Center Inn Suites. Presenters include myself, Adam Block, Dr. Craig Stark, Dr. Don 'Astrodon' Goldman, Wolfgang Promper, and many, many more! Registration opens soon, so please standby.

Both Rogelio Bernal Andreo (RBA!) and myself will be presenting PixInsight for the 10th annual Advanced Imaging Conference (AIC) in October. RBA will do an advanced look at specific object-oriented tasks. I'll do an intro to the program, and an intermediate workflow.

I hope you can join us for one or both of these great events!

FREE Imaging Tutorials- You get what you pay for!

Forgive the tease! We at IP4AP pride ourselves on our research, and accurately communicating facts to our customers in a carefully scripted and produced delivery. For this we charge what we believe are very reasonable prices.

In this 'American Idol age' where many think themselves a star or an expert because they've been at something for a short while, there is a compulsion for some amateur astro-imagers to share what they've learned with others. Sometimes this is motivated by a genuine desire to give back to the community. Other times, it's motivated out of ego, and/or 'too much time on my hands'.

What we're seeing as a result of this is misinformation disseminated through the community. And, in some cases, the content is directly pirated from myself, Ron Wodaski, Tony Hallas, and Adam Block, and passed along as the presenter's knowledge.

We all like free things. Even mediocre or bad food tastes better when it's free. But, we all know we get what we pay for, and quality is seldom free. I spend a great deal of time and effort to precisely document procedures for PixInsight, Photoshop, etc. and endeavor to make a living for my work. I don't feel the compulsion to fill bandwidth up with things which are neither my vocation or avocation.

This does not apply to friends and acquaintances such as Ken Crawford who produce accurate, informative, and well thought-out content. It does apply however to several folks who have posted totally erroneous tutorials on YouTube or their own blogs. They are doing the community a disservice!

Photoshops's Smart Sharpen is not deconvolution, not even close! The list goes on... My wish is that these 'educators' would stick to their jobs and please allow us to continue to do ours.

Please view our Free Samples at your convenience. I think you'll see the difference. Thanks for allowing me this platform.
